It all started as a dream. My father came to the US when I was only 8 years old. As you may imagine, he did not have much money in his pocket and also did not know the language. He started working at this small factory in Grand Prairie, where he was getting paid a bit over $5 an hour. Even though that was not a lot of money it was sufficient for us then. A few years later, he started noticing that $5 an hour was not cutting it for us. So he decided to go to another state and look for a job there, Florida to be exact. He had already packed his belongings and was about to leave our house when out of nowhere my youngest sister told him, "Papi, no te vayas, tu vas a agarrar un trabajo aqui", which translated means, "Daddy, don't leave, you will find a job here". After my 6 year old sister told him that, he ended up not leaving. That same weekend at my baseball game, my dad was telling one of my friend's dad about his situation. After my dad told the guy that he was looking for a job, the guy quickly asked him if he wanted to work for him. The guy said to my dad that even though my dad didn't know anything about air conditioning, he could probably help him out. My dad without hesitation accepted the job. And that's is where it all begun.
